Help for gamblers must come from all angles

A few hours before the gambling regulation bill was parsed by the Seanad last Wednesday night, gamblingcare.ie released a podcast featuring Oisin McConville and the Armagh footballer Stefan Campbell. Two All-Ireland winners. Two gamblers in recovery.

McConville asked Campbell how long since his journey began. June 17, 2018, he replied.

They reflected on the few months since Armagh won the All-Ireland. How good did it feel? Even better than he ever imagined, Campbell said. In 2022 McConville recalled how his own experience of winning in 2002 had been clouded by addiction.
