Applegreen to Open M&S Food Outlet at Navan Retail Park
LMFM to broadcast at family fun day on Saturday, 10th February
Applegreen, one of Ireland’s leading roadside retailers, has today opened a new M&S Food “shop in shop” concept at its Navan Retail Park outlet.
Applegreen has a partnership with M&S Food and now offers a range of up to 400 M&S products at certain locations. From today, the Applegreen store at Navan Retail Park will feature the best of M&S Food, including fresh fruit, salads, Irish sandwiches, lunch and dinner options and a selection of other M&S favourites, such as Percy Pig sweets, M&S cookies, and Colin the Caterpillar cakes.
To celebrate the opening, a family fun day will take place in store on Saturday February 10th and will include face painting & balloon modeller with LMFM broadcasting live from the site on the day.
The Applegreen at the Navan Retail Park, which is the seventh store nationwide to stock the M&S Food range, will also feature Click & Collect for selected M&S Clothing and Home product ranges. Adding the M&S range involved a significant redevelopment to Applegreen’s Navan Retail Park location, which has just been completed.
The exclusive partnership with M&S Food complements Applegreen’s leading store proposition in the Irish market and brings the M&S Food range to a much wider Irish customer base. Market research shows that Irish customers view M&S Food products as being high quality, special, trusted and tempting.
Applegreen’s partnership with M&S is part of Applegreen’s continuous development to bring the best customer experience on the road to Irish customers. Navan Retail Park is one of up to sixty new M&S Food outlets which Applegreen plans to open over the next 10 years, under a new agreement which was announced late last year. Up to 15 new M&S Food outlets will be added to the partnership this year.
Applegreen Navan Store Manager, Waldemar Marowski, said:
“We are delighted to bring the M&S Food range to our customers in Navan, and also to the wider catchment area. This is a really exciting new concept for customers, and since Applegreen has launched the partnership with M&S last year, stores throughout the country have seen a very positive customer reaction to the new range.
We now have top quality trusted M&S Food products available at our Navan Retail Park store and that will offer customers more choice and greater convenience.”
M&S Country Director for Ireland and Northern Ireland Eddie Murphy said:
“One of the primary objectives of our partnership with Applegreen is to expand the footprint of M&S Food in Ireland. We’re excited to announce the rapid expansion of this partnership following a successful pilot. The addition of 15 new locations by the end of this year, and many more in the years to come, enables us to offer top quality, trusted value M&S products to a broader customer base in Ireland. The expansion reflects the successful partnership between M&S and Applegreen. We are delighted to have our products available in Navan and to incorporate the new locations into our wider network.
The first M&S Food shop in shop outlet opened last November at Mountgorry, in Swords, Co Dublin. Further outlets were added in Booterstown, Co Dublin, Celbridge, Co Kildare, Kinsealy, Co Dublin, the M11 services area at Cullenmore, Co Wicklow and Dundalk Retail Park. Trading at the initial five M&S Food outlets has exceeded expectations.
