Apple’s brand new Belfast store has officially welcomed its first customers, as the technology company relocated from Victoria Square after 16 years in the shopping centre for a new street location.

Last month, the company announced they would depart Victoria Square after 16 years, where it became the first Apple store on the island of Ireland when it opened in 2008.

Today, the new store located at 3 Corn Market opened its doors following months of secret renovations as part of the new shopping centre The Keep, joining H&M which also relocated from Victoria Square to the area.

Photographs from the opening shows scores of customers arriving to check out the store which features a new space dedicated to Apple’s Vision Pro – a mixed-reality headset which went on sale in the UK in July.

The new store also offers one-on-one demos for the headset and a double counter Genius Bar for tech assistance and support with Apple’s products.

It features resigned “avenues” to highlight Apple’s products more prominently as well as to aid wheelchair access as well as a wooden-themed decor, moving away from the white design of their previous Belfast location.

Itoffers customers varied table and seating heights, expanded assisted listening systems, and enhanced visual and acoustic clarity.

The store employs over 90 people which includes musicians, singers, audio engineers, fine artists and poetry writers.

The new location features Apple’s newest products prominently displayed, including the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, alongside Apple AirPods 4 and the new Apple Watch Series 10.
