The initial findings from an investigation into the cause of a helicopter crash in Co Westmeath that claimed the lives of two men in their 40s on Tuesday will be released in a matter of weeks, it has emerged.

Inspectors from the Department of Transport’s Air Accident Investigation Unit (AAIU) are this morning continuing to run the rule over the single-engine aircraft after it crash-landed into an agricultural building at a piggery just outside Killucan village.
