Leading Scandinavian retailer unveils plans to set up store in Tullamore
A leading Scandinavian retailer has unveiled plans to set up a store in Tullamore.
JYSK Limited, intend to apply for planning permission for the store at the site of the former Argos store in the Tullamore Retail Park.
According to the details unveiled, JYSK will seek change of use from existing catalogue retail store to retail warehouse.
The Argos store in Tullamore closed in 2023 along with all the other retailer’s outlets in the Republic of Ireland.
If approved, the plans will involve alterations to the internal layout including the removal of the back of house office areas and an increase to the front of house retail area.
Internal alterations will also include the provision of a new lift and replacement staircase.
JYSK currently has 12 stores in Ireland including Athlone, Portlaoise and Naas.
