Meet the Co Down man who’s running Boots in the Republic of Ireland
Boots Ireland now has an outlet in every county, but big changes are afoot in pharmacy
It was a long time coming – but when Stephen Watkins helped finally cut the ribbon on Boots Ireland’s new store in Carlow in December, it was a significant milestone.
The British brand – long a common sight in other Irish towns and shopping centres – now has an outlet in every county in Ireland. The Carlow store is its 95th outlet in Ireland, says Mr Watkins, who is managing director of Boots Ireland and lives in Hillsborough.
