Northern Ireland weather: Mixed day ahead as Shania Twain takes to Belsonic stage
It will be a cooler day in Northern Ireland on Thursday with fresh to strong south-to-southwest winds that reach near gale across the coasts.
Cloud will thicken from the west to bring occasional rain that turns more persistent in the afternoon. The maximum temperature will be 18°C.
By Thursday night, it will be cloudy with periods of rain turning heavier at times in the north early to mid-evening, then turning patchy from the south overnight.
There will be fresh to strong west-to-southwest winds and a minimum temperature of 11°C.
It may be bad news for fans heading to see Shania Twain, who is performing in Belfast’s Ormeau Park this evening as part of the Belsonic festival. But the outlook may improve as Scooter and Ben Nicky take to the stage on Saturday.

By Friday, it will be rather cloudy start with occasional showers.
It will turn drier, brighter from the southwest through the afternoon, with the best of shelter around the east coast.
Strong west to northwest winds will ease later in day, with a maximum temperature of 17°C.
The outlook for Saturday to Monday is mostly dry and occasionally bright for the weekend. Monday will see areas of rain spread through the country from the west.
