Wexford youngster Oisín McDonagh added to his haul of international caps on a productive week for the Republic of Ireland Under-16 squad in Turkey.
The new acquisition for Wexford FC from Shamrock Rovers, who began his career with Glynn Barntown, featured prominently in the annual Aegean Cup.
Their opening game on Monday saw them go down 3-1 to the host country, with McDonagh in action for the full 90 minutes.
Ireland came from a goal down to beat Czechia 2-1 on Wednesday, with McDonagh restricted to half an hour on this occasion as head coach Paul Osam made seven changes to his starting line-up.
And the boys in green ended the tournament in style on Friday, cruising to a 6-0 success against Greece with Wexford’s representative once again lining out from start to finish.
