talkSPORT betting tips – Best football bets and advice for Tuesday 4 June

A super summer of football is on the horizon with the start of Euro 2024 less than two weeks away and there are plenty of international friendly fixtures on Tuesday as the European elite fine tune their preparations for Germany.

Italy host Turkey in an intriguing contest in Bologna, while Serbia take on Austria in Vienna.

Hungary head to the Aviva Stadium to face Republic of Ireland and we have bets in all three of those friendly tussles.

Bet of the Day

Hungary to beat Ireland @ 31/20

Hungary head to Germany following an excellent qualifying campaign which saw them dominate a section containing Serbia, Montenegro, Lithuania and Bulgaria.

Marco Rossi’s men went unbeaten during the qualification for Euro 2024 and that was in total contrast to Ireland’s miserable campaign.

Stephen Kenny was dismissed from his job after the Boys in Green lost six of their eight qualifiers, and although it was a tough section, Ireland’s squad looks sorely short of quality.

John O’Shea took over in the dugout for two home friendly fixtures against Belgium and Switzerland in March, but those games yielded zero goals and only two shots on target.

Hungary’s motivation may not be at its peak on Tuesday night, given the bigger prizes at stake in the summer, but the Magyars are a strong and committed team and they should be far too good for a struggling Ireland at the Aviva Stadium.

Special of the day

Over 2.5 goals in Austria v Serbia @ 20/23

Austria are looking for a sixth straight victory when they host Serbia on Tuesday night and it’s an impressive run that has seen Ralf Rangnick’s men beat Germany 2-0 and hammer Turkey 6-1 in their latest international fixture in March.

Das Team served it up to a good Belgium side in qualifying, finishing only a point behind the Red Devils and Rangnick has certainly built a threatening side.

The slight concern for the contest with Serbia is that key defender David Alaba is out injured, as is midfield anchor man Xaver Schlager.

Serbia scored nine goals in their final four Euro 2024 qualifying matches and Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dusan Vlahovic will pose a threat.

Getting long on goals looks a wise play in what should be an entertaining Vienna contest.

Longshot of the day

Turkey to beat Italy @ 17/4

Change doesn’t have to be viewed as a negative, but there appear to be too many alterations to have confidence in Italy beating Turkey on Tuesday night.

The reigning European champions lost manager Roberto Mancini to Saudi Arabia and imperious centre-back pairing Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci are no longer part of the Azzurri set-up.

Luciano Spalletti’s men only narrowly avoided a Euro 2024 play-off, while a young and progressive Turkey topped their qualifying section, so there is enough in the price to chance an upset in Bologna.
