Third Date Added For Special Roy Keane Event In Cork Due To High Demand
Once again thanks to phenomenal demand, an extra date has been added to Roy Keane and Roddy Doyle’s special event for Live At The Marquee next year.
Having already sold out two shows, an extra date has been added for An Evening with Roy Keane in conversation with Roddy Doyle, which will take place on July 9 2025.
Tickets for these shows will go up for sale next Thursday (November 14) at 9am via Ticketmaster.
This comes after tickets for the first two shows went up for sale earlier today (November 8), taking place on July 6 and 7.
Author Roddy Doyle had co-authored Roy Keane’s second autobiography, The Second Half, and the pair have remained friends.
This comes after Roy Keane’s first autobiography had been co-written by Irish journalist Eamon Dunphy. However, the pair soon fell out following its release.
This row reportedly happened over how Dunphy described Keane’s infamous tackle on Manchester City’s Alf-Inge Haaland, which led to the Norwegian suffering a serious injury. These claims have always been disputed by Dunphy.
Roy Keane, Mick McCarthy and Saipan
This also comes as the first-look photo from the upcoming film, Saipan, was released.
The film will look at the events leading up to the Republic of Ireland’s infamous World Cup campaign from 2002, which saw Roy Keane sent home, following a bitter row with then manager Mick McCarthy.
It will also be produced by Macadara Kelleher, and John Keville for Wild Atlantic Pictures. Oliver Butler and Trevor Birney will also produce the film, while Patrick O’Neill and Rachael O’Kane will serve as executive producers.
It will also be directed by filmmakers Lisa Barros D’Sa, and Glenn Leyburn.
Two time Academy nominee Steve Coogan will play McCarthy, with Éanna Hardwick playing the role of Keane.
It was also confirmed that the supporting cast also includes Peter McDonald, Alex Murphy, Alice Lowe, Jamie Beamish and Harriett Cairns.
